FAQs

Last Call:

  • Product quantities will be limited in availability, and orders will be filled in the order they are received.
  • POs will be confirmed, as always, and you will receive an ESD at that time.
  • If we do not have the inventory available to fulfill your PO, we will let you know ASAP.
  • The last day we will be accepting new POs will be September 2, 2025.
  • After September 2, 2025 no new orders will be accepted via PO.
  • If you have outstanding quotes that you need to fulfill, reach out to us ASAP so we can help sort things out.
  • BPI Closing Date is September 15, 2025.

Warranty & Returns:

  • Items are made to order and are generally not returnable.
  • Defective items are covered under a 12-month warranty, starting the date the item ships.
    • Defective items will be repaired or replaced at BPI’s discretion.
    • Client would ship the warranty item to BPI on their account, in or out of warrant. 
  • Having problems with one of our products? Contact us to discuss the issue. We can often talk you through troubleshooting, and we will then determine if repairs are required.
    • If you do need to send the device in for repairs, we’ll be able to tell you if it’s under warranty and give you an RMA number to get the process rolling. All RMAs require the product serial number.
  • Products that include our Cloud & Warranty Services will retain their coverage until the next renewal date.
  • There will be no renewal option and coverage will be terminated. This includes all Horatio and Miranda products.

FAQ Answers:

Will my Miranda/Horatio work after the Cloud service support ends?

  • Existing time clock programming will run, but any remote triggering or reprogramming will not.

Can I set up my own Cloud service for Miranda/Horatio products? 

  • Unfortunately, no. This service is specific to these products, proprietary and costly.

Do you have any suggestions on what I can use instead of Horatio when the service agreement expires? 

  • While we can’t specifically endorse any other product, we’ve heard very nice things about Pharos.

How will I know when my service contract is complete?

  • Contracts will expire on their annual renewal date. Whenever your next renewal payment is due, that will be your service expiration.

How will I know when my warranty expires on my Prospero QLP, Prospero Mini, Rosalind Pro, Rosalind Lite, Ganymede, Benedict and/or Lawrence? 

  • Warranties will expire one year from the shipping date of your product, with the following exceptions:
    • Rosalind Pro, which has five years coverage from the date of shipping.
    • Rosalind Lite, which has two years coverage from date of shipping.

My under-warranty product is being problematic.  If you are closed, now what do I do? 

  • Contact us to discuss the issue (support@benpeoples.com) We can often talk you through troubleshooting, and we will then determine if repairs are required.

Help! I need parts for my Prospero!

  • Switches, plates, LEDs and other Prospero parts will be available in our online Prospero Shop starting mid-September. 

How will the online shop work, can I submit a PO?

  • No, unfortunately, the online shop will only be able to accept credit cards as payment. 
  • Product pricing on the site includes both shipping and credit card fees. 
  • There will be no minimum for online orders, a change from our past policies. 

I work for an academic department/company/employer and can only purchase with a PO, but I NEED parts. What can I do? 

  • Contact the Dealer you had previously worked with to purchase your Prospero, and they should be able to help you get the parts you need from our new site.

Prospero Shop Shipping:

  • Shipping of our standard Prospero v3 DMX Cue Light Controller (BPI-QLP) and packages of BPI-QLP parts will NOT be available for RUSH, so be sure to plan ahead!

  • Shipping will be on the Monday of the following week for all orders. 

    • For example, if you place an order on Thursday, your order will ship the following Monday.  

    • If you place an order on Tuesday, you order will also ship the following Monday.  

    • The business week is Monday through Friday at 5pm. Orders placed over the weekend won’t ship until the following Monday. (7-9 days later.) 

    • Just to be clear, orders will only ship on Mondays! 

  • The cutoff for Monday shipping is 5pm on Friday – any orders received over the weekend will ship the following Monday (a week out).
